Glass fiber concrete is a composite material of glass fiber and cement concrete. It is mainly used to make composite exterior wall panels (with rock wool, foamed polystyrene, etc. as core materials), partition boards, balcony railings, garbage chutes and ventilation ducts, toilet box rooms, etc. The heat resistance temperature should not exceed 80°C. It has high water impermeability and high air impermeability in a humid state. The composite board composed of two layers of glass fiber concrete boards with a thickness of 10mm each and a 100mm thick perlite cement core has a fire resistance of more than 4h. Alkali-resistant glass fiber should be used to prepare glass fiber concrete, because this kind of glass fiber contains a certain amount of zirconium oxide (ZrOa). Under the action of alkali solution, the zirconium oxide on its surface will be converted into a colloid containing zirconium hydroxide [Zr(OH)/, and after dehydration, it will polymerize on its surface to form a dense film layer, thereby slowing down the erosion of calcium hydroxide [Ca(0H)] in the cement stone liquid phase on the glass fiber.
